Paul Dolphin – Founder

I’ve always been interested in finance & property, and after a brief stint working for the local authority, I started a career in banking. I quickly climbed the corporate ladder and gained promotion to become the youngest financial planner in the country. I worked really hard at what I did and got huge pleasure out of helping people to achieve their financial goals. The bank I worked for ‘merged’, and I found myself realising that although I loved the job, the various restrictions on products & services meant that it wasn’t the long-term route I wanted to take. This led to me exploring something else.

I decided to work for an Independent Mortgage & Investment broker to get knowledge of the wider sector, then, within six months, I founded Financial Minefield, which trades as Money Advice Clinic. Having my own company that can work across the entire market means I am free to give the type of advice I want to give and do what I feel is most important – PUT CLIENTS FIRST. I am extremely proud of the reputation we have built. The constant referrals and recommendations we receive from our customers indicate we must be doing something right! As a proud father of two girls, I understand the importance of protecting the family and benefitting from sound financial advice, which are the two core values that run through my business.
